New England Student Photography Showcase
Photo students in New England take note: the first annual Undergraduate Photography Now exhibition is currently being planned for an exhibition to be held in conjunction with the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Festival at Boston’s Fairmont Battery Wharf, May 16 to 19.
Current juniors and seniors enrolled in a college photo program in any New England State (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont) are invited to submit images. Photographs of all formats and categories are accepted, with a preference for series or related bodies of work. Entries will be juried and curated for exhibition by Boston-area photo educators Bruce Myren and Greer Muldowney.
Selected student work will be on display during the month of May and exhibiting students will benefit from an opening night celebration and an evening with photography professionals. The Flash Forward Festival is an annual highlight of the Boston photographic scene and will include ten exhibitions, three outdoor installations and a dynamic line-up of professional, artistic and community programming.
Act now, the submission deadline for Undergraduate Photography Now is February 15, with notification of acceptance by March 15. For full submission requirements and to upload images, click here.
