Student photographers, listen up for a chance to have your work seen and selected by top industry experts. PDN’s Photo Annual is our biggest opportunity of the year, featuring valuable prizes and industry recognition for both professionals and students. All student finalists have an added chance to win the Marty Forscher Fellowship, which awards a $1,500 cash prize to one student photographer for outstanding achievements in humanistic photography, presented during a ceremony at the PDN Photo Annual party in New York. Last year’s award was presented to Eugenijus “Giena” Barzdžius, for his documentary series on elderly people who overtook state-owned land in Lithuania. To see more of this work and for an overview of last year’s student winners, click here for the 2013 Winners’ Gallery.
Additionally, each contest winner receives an invite to our exclusive Photo Annual party and gets his or her work published in June’s PDN Photo Annual issue. Students get a discounted entry fee of $25 for up to six images, with no limit to the number of entries you can submit. For your chance to win, drop what your books, register here and upload your best pictures before the January 29 deadline.
