Photographing China’s Offbeat Spaces

Posted by on August 24, 2017 | Photographer Interviews

After several years away from China, Tianxi Wang’s return home resulted in a project “Listen to the Rivers,” in which he found a new perspective in photographing “unexpected” landscapes in his home country. This series, “The Shadows Under Light,” is a follow-up to the previous work, further exploring uncommon locales in China during a three-month period. Wang visited abandoned amusement parks, under-construction cultural parks and “strange landscapes found on the way to nowhere.”
