Don’t Miss Your Chance to Apply for These Recently Established Scholarships at ICP

Posted by on March 13, 2018 | Education

Photography programs at reputable institutions can be prohibitively expensive. Fortunately, the International Center of Photography recently announced two new scholarships that significantly cut down on the cost of tuition.

The first is the Reuters Scholarship for Visual Journalism, a full-tuition scholarship available to Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism students. Candidates are required to express the desire to explore the diverse language of visual documentation, bringing a new voice and ideas to photographic storytelling. The recipient of the scholarship will be mentored by Reuters journalists. The deadline for the application for the scholarship is March 31, 2018.

The second is the Mary Ellen Mark Memorial Scholarship, endowed in honor of the legendary photographer and former ICP faculty member who passed away in 2015. It is offered to a student with extraordinary talent. The student must express a desire to pursue a project that reflects some part of the life and career of Mary Ellen Mark. The scholarship was inaugurated in 2017, and its first recipient was Bleue Liverpool. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2017.
