Li Hui’s Photographs Have the Quality of Afternoon Light

Posted by on April 4, 2018 | Student Photography

Li Hui composes photographs that look like an afternoon you want to live in forever, or the feeling you get when you first fall in love. Entirely self trained, the Chinese photographer focuses on themes such as youth, nature, and intimacy.

Her style, which is marked by soft, luscious light that seems to cast a blush on her subjects, has gained her many admirers. Along with being featured in magazines including Empty Kingdom, Mossless and Index, she has also published sold-out three books of her work.

For more information about Hui, visit her website, or follow her on Instagram. Below is a selection of images from her series “No Word From Above.”
